As he aged He became passionate crusader against all things God. But God pursued William and William surrendered. ( ) The author is one of the sons of the outspoken American communist atheist, Madalyn Murray O'Hair. His story includes recounting the multiple and famous law suits, including the 1963 case appealed to the US Supreme Court in which sectarian prayer was banned from public schools. He also describes his mother's political involvements with the communist party, and her odd and self-aborted attempts to defect to the Soviet Union. William Murray severed all connections with the American Atheists in 1977, and three years later became a Christian. He founded his fund-raising agency, Faith Ministries, to "counteract the forces of humanism and atheism in the United States." The "conversion story" is very vague. He read the Bible, and alone, accepted Christ. There is not a single example of Christ working in his life. He did apologize publicly with a letter to the editor for his role in the removal of religious prayer led by officials in public schools. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
In 1963 America's most famous atheist, Madalyn Murray O'Hair, won the landmark lawsuit filed on behalf of her son William, that effectively banned prayer in public schools. Bill shares in vivid detail his upbringing - the raging battles, his activity in his mother's atheistic empire, his dependence on drugs and his years as a fugitive. Nearly two decades after the Court's decision, Bill came to the end of his personal strength. In desperation he called out to God and God answered. From embezzlement to kidnapping to murder, Bill reviews the shocking evidence surrounding the disappearance of his mother, brother and daughter. Though actively involved in atheism, Bill discovered the gift Jesus Christ offers to all who seek Him. He invites you to experience God's grace in this journey from despair to everlasting love.
