What an unusual story line: a lonely son of a bookstore owner sees someone drinking the ink out of a book and follows him.
I read this short story aloud to my grandkids, who enjoyed it. They felt it ended abruptly, and were sure there must be a sequel. We checked online & are excited that we can get more from interlibrary loan. At the first reading, the 8-yr old stopped me in the middle and said it was getting too scary. Two months later, he requested that we finish reading it. This time it wasn't scary and was funny. ( )

I just loved the idea, the imagery of this book! I've often thought of my younger self devouring books, being so engrossed that I was inside them or that they were inside me and I was living their stories. That is most exactly what happens to an ink drinking vampire! This was the perfect level for my 2nd grader and the illustrations created blocking of the text that were really helpful to keeping him on track. I'm looking forward to finding more books about Ink Drinkers! ( )

Don't have to be a kid to enjoy this little book. ( )

This was a wonderful book. I love the fact that the book is based on a vampire who becomes blood-intollerant! I think that students would love the book, just as I did. This would be a good book for students who have not read many novels before. It is not very lengthy, and has a great story. ( )

En Daniel ha descobert un estrany personatge a la llibreria del seu pare. Té una actitud molt curiosa i a més sembla que floti a deu centímetres de terra. Però el més sorprenent és que es beu les pàgines dels llibres i viu a la cripta d'un cementiri.
