In the field of true-life ghost stories, the English master was Harry Price (b. 1881). By far the most famous case in Price¹s long career was that of Borley Rectory. This beautifully bound volume, which details this investigation, is a reprint of the original pub. in 1940. Borley is a tiny village in Essex, about 60 miles NE of London. The church was built in the 12th century. The rectory across the street was haunted chiefly by the figure of a nun who walked across the garden. Also appearing was a spectral carriage and team of horses driven by a headless coachman. Price reported that Borley appeared to be afflicted with classic poltergeists as well. He lived in the rectory for a year, and concluded that they really were supernatural manifestations. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
