This is a book of fourteen poems related to spring. The poems are fairly short, simple rhyming poems that would be easy for early elementary students to understand. On the page opposite each poem is a picture related to the poem’s topic that depicts a child. The children throughout the book are of different genders and ethnicities, contributing a valuable element of multiculturalism to the book. This book, which could be read aloud or assigned to slightly experienced readers to read independently, could be used to teach both characteristics of spring and basic concepts of poetry.
