A well-written YA science fiction yarn. This is one of a series, so we begin in the middle and end before the end, if you follow me. The back-story was well handled with a minimum of lengthy explanation, and the premise seems solid. The action is non-stop, and believable.

Keill Randor is the last survivor of a band of Legionaries murdered by a mysterious Warlord. He has been saved and bionically enhanced by a race of super beings that monitor activities in our galaxy and are trying to stop this murderous force. Keill becomes their agent. In this episode (which is what this book is - an episode in a continuing story), he is battling not only an almost impervious "Deathwing" of the Warlord, but also a deadly Starwind - the result of a rogue wandering planet that periodically scours all life from the planet.
