This is an excellent book for someone who already knows a little about Hinduism and wants an in-depth view of the philosophies and social concepts of Hindus. However, if (like myself) you are not well-versed in the vocabulary and various myths of Hinduism, you may feel a little left behind. That is why I gave the book three stars instead of four—because I was a little lost. It definitely is a four star book for someone who has more background than I. ( )
