Mount Bedford Public Library is a leaky old building in need of replacement. Samantha Parkington decides to organize a talent show to raise money to contribute to the building fund. Several classmates offer their talents in juggling, piano and ballet; Samamtha feels depressed that she has no talent to offer. Even the publicity posters she made aren't as artsy as Ida's.
