I think when I read this it was not the best time because I really did not want to get into a new world and that may have effected my enjoyment of the book. I loved the concept of the book but the first book was really a laying the foundation of the series and I am much more interested in the upcoming books in the series whenever I get around to them. I felt like this book needed to happen to get the story where it needed to go. I really loved the character of Alan alot. I think his character was so interesting and loved seeing the progress of his character throughout this series. I did not see the end of the boom coming so it really surprised me what his role was in the nick drama. I liked the brothers relationship in this book and loved the interaction between the two pairs of siblings and their interactions because the was the cool part of the book. I loved how the world was built and created and it was made so clear and I want to know more in future books.
