This play has an interesting premise, but it's delivery is flawed by the fact that the message is heavy handed - science is bad. Science hurts people, scientists are monsters, and there is no morality to be found within the scientific community at all. The counter arguments to the anti-stem cell premise of the modern portion of the play is clumsily dealt with, partially because when the author is able to craft the arguments of the scientists, she chooses to totally ignore what scientists would actually say and put a weak argument out there. Actually, it's not that weak an argument, but in the hands of this author, it appears to be so. The message comes through loud and clear - this author does not like science and wishes the world were simple and good like it was when things were natural and we all lived in harmony with nature and each other. The only reason this gets two stars is that it is an interesting premise, if only she had chosen to be more accurate in her portrayals. (After rereading it for a project i'm working on, I decided two stars is extremely excessive). ( )
