Ryder is working undercover to infiltrate a baby smuggling ring, but what will he do when the “baggage” (baby) he is told to transport just happens to be the very baby that he himself delivered just days before. Ryder encountered pregnant Ana when he heard her cries of distress while she was in labor and he was the only person around to help bring her baby into the world. Since that day, Ryder has not been able to get the lovely mother and her newborn daughter out of his head. Now he must save Ana’s baby.

This was a very enjoyable and interesting read, and for me, the premise of this story was a change-of-pace from the suspense books I usually read. I really liked Ryder and how he was dedicated to do anything necessary to help Ana find her baby. I liked that Ana was very strong and nothing and nobody was going to stop her from getting her baby back. It was a very entertaining romantic suspense story. ( )

Excellent. Very Justine Davis - bad boy making good, woman - actually, both of them - with secrets from the past catching up. Interesting story, with a baby kidnapping ring - with a lot of bosses at various levels. Ryder's handlers must have been sure he had gone off the deep end. And there was no way they'd have found the baby if the boss hadn't had other reasons to bring them to her. Major coincidences, but reasonable. And well-written enough to suspend any disbelief I might have felt. The only problem is that now I want the rest of the series, and I'll probably be disappointed by at least some of them. The standard group of writers that do multi-author series these days include some very good and some very weak writers. Ah well, hope the major stories are by good ones. ( )
