This book was about a little girl who is having issues with wetting the bed all the time. She is able to do all kinds of big girl things, but still wets the bed.She tries not drinking a lot before bed, and even uses the bathroom, but still wets the bed. Her mommy tells her that sometimes it just takes time and that one day she won't wet the bed anymore. One night she has a dream about a mermaid who happens to also wet her bed under the sea! The mermaid asks the little girl to come and play, so she does! they play and play. And then it's time to go to sleep, and suddenly the little girl is being woken up by her mom saying your coat and hat is soaked, but your bed is not!!!!!! I found this book to be a read for kids who are struggling with wetting the bed, this book can help them not feel so ashamed by it, and that when their body is ready they won't wet the bed anymore. Cecelia is a little girl who can do a lot of things. But Cecelia is having trouble wetting the bed. Se then tries to go to the restroom before she goes to bed but she has no luck. One night, she has a dream that a mermaid called her to come pay and they have an adventure. The mermaid tells Cecelia that it is okay that she wets the bed and that she will out grow it. Cecelia woke up the next morning and her bed was dry. Books show that people may go through a rough patch but in the end if you stick it through it will get better. The author's craft is that she has a rhyme tone in the story. She uses punctuation in her writing to express the emotion within the story. She also uses quotations to make the conversation parts more realistic. There is italicized words that are important parts of the story. ( )

This book would be great to read to a young kindergarten classroom because they are most likely going through the same thing at home. I think that this book would make them feel a lot better about themselves because they will know that they are not alone. ( )
