The Quique bake things Quesadillas. Isabelle the Iguana and Irma the Ibis blow up balloons. Gregory the goose brought his guitar. Teresa the turtle took the train. Zelda was surprised to see her mother and friends at the zoo.
This book is unique the pictures were illustrated by children in Spain. I thought it was awesome how each animal’s name started with letter in the alphabet along with what they did. An example, “Paul the Penguin wondered what he would wear. Paul put on a perfect pair of purple pants.” I think the layout of the book was first-rate done.
This book would be great for a class that had both English and Spanish students. I could have a student read the Spanish part; if I can’t read it. If it just one or the other speaking class; I could explain the other words were a different language. The book would be great for a multicultural day. Discuss which animal their favorite. Each student could tell one favorite thing about their birthday, for example the type of food, the music, transportation, gifts or anything else. ( )
