In my opinion this book was ok. I enjoyed reading it to my students, but it was more of just fun than informational. I thought it would be more informational and explain what thanksgiving was about, but that was not the case. I did like that it was a story about friendship and children can relate to that easily. I did enjoy the fact that they showcased the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade without actually saying it. The illustrations were colorful and engaging to keep the attention of the child. I also enjoyed that the story focused on the friends helping Huggly when he was struggling. It was a great lesson! ( )
