The first chapter is a rhyme using the letters of Christmas to start each line.
Then "A Wintery Sort of Day" shows the Pooh friends enjoying various winter activities like ice skating and sledding.
"The Gift of the Piglet" has Piglet wanting to give Pooh his very own special snowflake, but it turns out they are harder to catch and keep than you'd think.
"Here Comes Christmas" has everyone in the Hundred-Acre Wood getting ready for Christmas, trimming trees and wrapping presents.
Weirdly, all the Pooh friends are present in the book except Owl. I wonder if the anonymous author decided Owl had flown south for the winter? Or maybe Owl knew that despite the multiple chapters and all the extra pages, this would still a pretty bland coloring book experience, so he took some PTO.
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:
