I had a pretty serious addiction to Oxycontin, i went through rehab, therapy, NA meetings, worked the program, the whole nine yards. In that time i did a lot of reading with self help books to help with my recovery. And to be honest, the majority of them were pretty much worthless to me, its hard to get a lot out of something like that. However this book was different, for one it was partially fun to read, it had a great deal of interesting information. Its not a "do this and do that to be cured" kind of book, it gives you a lot of information and suggestions on a wide variety of issues and offers a unique approach that i hadnt heard of in all of the above threatment plans i spoke of at the start of this review. Im not going to say this this book saved me from my addiction because i didnt, however it was the only book i ever found that helped my recovery at all and that i was able to enjoy reading in the least bit. So if your a recovering addict and you are looking for some reading material to help you, this is a great choice. ( )

Although I'm not recovering from anything, I really enjoyed the philosophical ramifications of this book. ( )
