I picked this up because it is an historical romance set outside of an English speaking setting. I had to buy used copies to read the duology. The first in the series was ok. ( ) Set in sixteenth century Germany, THE LEGACY tells the story of Sabina, a former nun and Wolf, a printer. Wolf's a widower forced into marriage with Sabina in order to pay his family's ruinous debts. Both Sabina and Wolf have suffered heartbreak in the past and must learn to move forward and trust again. Their love story is touching and well-told. The historical and political backdrop for this story is an unusual one in a romance. The religious reforms begun by Martin Luther play an important part in the tale, as does the Peasants' Revolt of 1524. I enjoyed THE LEGACY's touching love story, but as a history buff, I was also intrigued by this glimpse into an era I knew nothing about. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
