Highland Knightwas not as good as her other books that I have read. The first half was very slow, with the H/h describing how sexy each other was, in detail, repeatedly. I would have appreciated more historical detail and more depth to the characters. 2-2.5 stars. ( )

Our hero is the Bluidy Monroe (Ethan Monroe) he and his men where enchanted six centuries ago.
For an hour at the gloaming they can touch and feel and EAT. The castle has a very old care taker, an dhe cooks for "the boys".
Mean while in the States Amelia Landry has writters block. Her best friend books the castle for the summer hoping the spooky old place will inspire her friend. I loved the book. ( )

Amelia Landry is suffering from writer's block, so her best friend rents a tower in a Scottish castle for her to seek some inspiration. What she gets is six enchanted Highland knights and some spooky ghosts. Ethan and his relatives are able to corporalize for one hour every day, and Amelia soon finds herself falling fast for the knight. They work together to try and clear the mystery of Ethan's past so that he and his relatives can break the enchantment cast on them.

Slightly entertaining characters make this read mindless fun. Fluffy paranormal romance at its best. If your looking for something light to take to the beach, then this ones for you!

I read Cindy Miles first two books "Into Thin Air" and "Spirited Away" and enjoyed them both. I was looking forward to "Highland Knight" and was definately not disappointed. Her books are about ghosts...ghosts looking for a way to no longer be ghosts. Her heroines are kickbutt! No wimpy whiners here and I like that. There's also a ton of humor in these books, and romance plus well-done humor is always a winner for me.

Amelia is an author who has hit a block. She also enjoys the spooky side of life, probably because she was born near midnight on Halloween! So her best friend and assistant books her into a haunted highlands castle to help her get her writing groove back. Imagine her surprise and delight when she's approached by not one, but six! braw highland ghosties.

Ethan Munro, AKA the Bluidy Munro, has gotten a really bad rap. He and his warriors disappeared off a battle field and have been cursed for seven centuries since then. They can only appear to those receptive to them and every day at the gloaming, they are incorporate. They've been looking for someone who can help break this ?curse? ever since.

Imagine: one woman and six highlanders, an iPod, a story waiting to be written, tae kwan doe, sword fighting, kisses in the gloaming, an enchantment, wrongs righted. There is also a lot of sexual tension in this book, but no consummation until the very end (the whole gloaming thing, remember?). And I still enjoyed the whole thing! ( )
