Filled with surprising sparks of humor, Vampyres of Hollywood is an enjoyable read. Though told from two different first person povs, it's easy to follow each of the characters and tell them apart, so the authors did a good job there. Police Detective Peter King and Ovsanna "The Scream Queen" Moore are likeable characters and I think will read the next story in the series. Also, I like who the Vampyres of Hollywood turn out to be at the end. ( ) Fun romp through old and new Hollywood. There's a serial killer on the loose in Hollywood and it seems to be targeting one studio. That studio however is run by an old vampire who was around when they first started making the movies and was staring in them as well. Lot of name dropping of old old Hollywood and kind of reads like a suspense/mystery novel. Was a nice enjoyable read. Although the cover features Marilyn Monroe with fangs she does not figure into this story. Authors Adrienne Barbeau and Michael Scott have created a vivid world where vampires walk the streets of Hollywood - a place strange enough for them to hide out in plain sight and make lives for themselves among America's cinematic royalty. The characters are well-written and full of depth and dimension, and the story is dense with a creative mysterious twist. The pacing of the novel makes it impossible to put down until the very last word, and the dialogue is smart and witty. Vampyres of Hollywood is fun, fun, FUN! It is full of gory good details and has a certain flair that sets it apart from some of the other novels in the paranormal/vampire genre. Vampyres of Hollywood is extremely entertaining. Full of suspense and clever little references to vampires and movies, Vampyres of Hollywood does not disappoint. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
