This was so cute, I loved it. The poetic feel and the beautiful art. ( )

I liked this book. I am familiar with the Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star lullaby, but this book surprised me. I may have heard another version all my life, but this one had some lines that i was unfamiliar with. The author focuses on end rhymes to give it effect. This poem can be used as a song with a tune because, in fact, it already is! I like that I can connect this poem with other poems that have end rhymes. ( )

This book is a poem about the stars in the sky and how the light from them shine down on the earth and shows people there is a guiding light in the night. It shows people that even in the darkest of times there is always a light even if it’s small. I like this because anyone who is afraid of the dark can always think of this poem to remind themselves of that. Also this book is a lullaby to tell children as they go to bed.
I like this book because in the book it is showing what parents and children do to get ready to go to bed. Such as in the book you see the mother bird giving the baby bird a bath before bed and on the next page you see the father possum getting the child possum into their pajamas. Another reason I like this book is that illustrations are small on one side of the book where they are telling the poem and has a picture outside at night with stars and on the next page the illustration takes up the whole page with what the family is doing to get ready for bed.
