Also...Bella. No. Also, Bella is nearly raped by the baddie, but she is conveniently saved by getting her period at just the right moment. I wear, I have read this at least a dozen times elsewhere, and I hated it each of those times so... Very meh-inducing. Here's to hoping that the third book in the series is better.
