Being barely aware of the website www.gofugyourself.com didn't stop me from picking this up and reading it from cover to cover in one sitting. The Fug Awards features photos of known, unknown to me, and unknown-and-could-happily-have-stayed-that-way celebrities, in various states of dress, undress, overdress, underdress, and what the ? dress. A lot of the time I actually loved what the authors hated, but the commentary is amusing whether you agree with them or not. Glossy photos, funny commentary and perhaps even a few fashion do's and don'ts, and what's not to love?

Fun but kind of restrained compared to the website. ( )

From the writers of the website www.gofugyourself.com comes this book which distills their wit and wisdom into the format of an awards show - while the pictures are not necessarily the most outrageous of the outfits the Fug Girls have fugged, there's still entertainment galore within this volume. The Fug Girls' comments are certainly biting, but they are rarely mean and for the most part the Girls clearly wish that the celebrities they mock would make better choices both sartorially and in their personal lives. This is perfect for browsing through with friends while having a "What were they thinking??" chat or for some brain candy reading to while away waiting time in line or for an appointment of some sort.
