I personally love how the author provides the reader with the perception the Leslie is just like you and I as she simply as hearing and visual impairments. The author and photographer does a wonderful job of portraying the personality of this young individual.
I have to express the photographs in this book. The photographer provides the reader with beautiful illustrations of Leslie as she interacts with her environment.
I would share this book with my students to express the significance of treating people with special needs like anybody else. ( )
