It's ridiculous and predictable and unintentionally hilarious. Grace is convalescing in a coastal village in Maine after being released from a mental hospital (where she was recovering from the trauma of losing her daughter in a house fire), when one day she sees a little girl walking out of the ocean. Soon after, the child disappears, and it seems like Grace is the only one who can see her. The whole thing is just silly. There's no mention of any tower room until about ten pages from the end. Everyone talks like a 1950s PSA. Grace's beauty and wardrobe are described in such banal detail I felt almost embarrassed for the author. That said, I still enjoyed myself. Sometimes it's fun to read something so unabashedly terrible. And it's short enough that I didn't have time to get bored. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
