I enjoyed this book and the way it told the story of the Statue of Liberty and it's importance in a way that was easy for children to relate to and understand. This could be used in the classroom to combine Social Studies and Reading. It is important for students to see that historical events and stories can be told in an entertianing way. ( ) I don't know Harvey Stevenson from a hole in the wall, but this is easily the best book about The Statue of Liberty that I've ever read. So many other books on the subject are such dry informational texts that make me want to avoid knowing about it than I already do that I'd basically given up on finding anything of quality on the subject. This does what so many others don't. It gives the subject passion and life. I really was compelled by this story. I wonder if he'd do one on Mt. Rushmore. It would be well received. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
