Here, she has fears that the gentleman she is interested in will be far too interested in a beautiful widow. I totally understand those fears. I also enjoyed the author's portrayal of Prinny. While this book can be read out of order, I always like to read them in order. I'd recommend this book for anyone who likes traditional Regencies. Lady Beatrice Marsham has quite the problem. No sooner is she widowed from a brutish gambling husband, than her heartless family is forcing her into another horrid marriage. Fleeing by stagecoach to the Brighton seaside, the proud beauty meets Miss Hannah Pym, who is determined to find her a proper match. The handsome and kind Lord Alistair Munro would be perfect.
