Loved the art. Didn't love the constant explication, but I can see why many would. ( )

Personal Response:
This is can be read as a picture book to younger kids but really shows a lot of optical illusions. The circus setting is fun and the illustrations have lots of details to look at. A few of this illustrator's illusions aren’t easy to see even if you know what you’re looking for but it does provide an entertaining backdrop for this subject.

If you like optical illusions, "magic eye" puzzles and generally squinting and holding books at funny angles, this is for you. I can't stand that sort of thing myself. ( )
