And useful, if you have read a previous edition, not merely to bring up new stuff but also to remind you of what is now useful to you even though you didn't pay attention the previous time. Necessary to take account of new developments, especially on the Internet. But it could have done with more thorough revision. He goes into complicated details of how to access things in hard copy, the a couple of pages later makes this irrelevant by telling you how to access the online version. And it's difficult to understand why a section on the Internet in general is put into the middle of a sequence of subject chapters. However, no-one doing research can afford to be without the book.
