I am always laughing out loud while I am reading her books. ( ) Mallory Devereaux is known throughout the town of Royal Flush, Louisiana as a walking disaster and her luck just got worse. She needs to raise ten-thousand dollars in one week to keep the IRS from seizing her adopted father's business where she works as the demolition foreman. Mallory received a voodoo curse at birth that makes her unlucky. The only job she is good at is demolition and now her adopted dad's business is at risk due to IRS seizure. The only way she can raise to buy out the IRS note is to work on her Uncle's floating casino. And, every criminal in Louisiana has bought into this floating poker game. What has she gotten herself into? I laughed, I sighed and I rooted for the home team! A fun read with real characters. Synopsis: Mallory Devereaux has bad luck; there is not a situation she can’t make worse or a relationship she can’t sabotage. However, she’s smart and has a good heart, especially when family and friends need her help. Her father, and boss, is about to lose his demolition business and Mallory wants to prevent this. Her solution is to work as a ‘cooler’ in a poker game her rather crocked uncle is hosting. In the process she uncovers more crooks and cops than she expected. Review: This book was fun to read. There are portions that are laugh-out-loud funny and sections that are completely unexpected. The action is fast-paced and most of the plot is believable. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
