this was recommends to me by Barnes and Noble. I'm not sure what I've been reading that they order me suggestions with title like Nut Cream, but I was intrigued enough to try it.

With that title I expected it to be no better than amateur porn but it was surprisingly well written. It features the fated mates trope. That worked in the context if the story.

I struggled with the way Cliff acted toward Toby in the beginning. He seemed to enjoy making Toby uncomfortable. I didn't like how condescending and almost mean he seemed at times.

Although better written than expected, I think its overpriced for the page count and content. ( )

I liked the story! Toby is a twenty six year old half human, half werewolf who is coming into sexual maturity. Werewolves have two puberty phases they go through, one as a typical teen human boy would, and another as a werewolf when they are in their early twenties. This is when they hit werewolf sexual maturity and begin looking for their mates.

Toby being half human (thanks to a full werewolf father and a human mother) doesn't know what to expect as his body doesn't seem to follow all the rules because of his human side. He has no idea that Cliff is his mate, he just thinks he has a huge manlove crush on Cliff. Poor Toby doesn't even know if Cliff is gay or not. Cliff is best friends with Toby's brother so he is always around the house and can't be easily avoided. Toby tries to avoid Cliff because every time he gets near him, Toby's body goes 'nuts' (hehehe) with desire.

Cliff can scent Toby's desire of him and Cliff wants Toby just as much but he takes things slowly- he tries to take things slowly to allow Toby time to adjust to the changes in his body, the fact that Cliff is not just some man-crush but is indeed his mate (something Toby still hasn't figured out) and letting family know that these two are hot for each other (anyone with a werewolf nose already knows this, but Toby with his rather human nose doesn't scent what's in the air).

Finally things get hot and Cliff makes Toby's sex fantasy come true when he goes down on Toby and fondles him to completion. Toby is thrilled and eager for more, but there is no lube! Damn, where's the lube when you need it? When you don't have lube...some nut cream will do! There's the nut cream in the bottle and the nut cream that is the product of Cliff's masterful love making to Toby's eager body.

I enjoyed this very short (took like 20 minutes to read) m/m romance - wish it was longer.

Nut Cream is a good romance story, with some touching first time sex. Toby is half-human/half-werewolf who has finally entered his mating phase at age 26; six years later than full weres. He's had a crush on his brother's best friend Cliff for years. What are the chances they could be mates? Very good, obviously, as this is romance!

Though supposedly a werewolf story, that aspect doesn't have a much impact on the story other than the "mating" biology stuff. Cliff finally convinces Toby he really wants him, and they have their happily ever after - the end. A good, quick read, that isn't up to the special quality of Buchanan's Felidae series.

One huge caveat - the publisher posts the page length at 90. But, that includes THIRTY PAGES of previews for other titles! That is very misleading, but not the fault of the author or the story. Recommended. ( )

Toby is an half breed werewolf. For his human blood he has hit the puberty a bit later than his peers, and now, at 26 years old he is still virgin but he is entering his first mating season and the object of his desire his Cliff, his brother's best friend.

He can't hide his passion, cause his pheromones are clearly smelled by all the people around him and also Cliff smells it. And he likes this scent. Better he is aware that this is the scent of his fated mate and he is only expecting that Toby is full mature to claim him. And now, in this hot summer, the time is arrived.

This is a short sexy story, very funny and somewhat different from the Felidae series by Jade Buchanan I have read: more realistic (as realistic could be a werewolves story), but with the same lighthearted attitude. And also with the same pair, made of a strong alpha male and a cute omega puppy.
