The story of Miss Moppet is about a kitten name Miss Moppet who sees a mouse. She sees a mouse peeping from behind the cupboard making fun of her.She hits her head while trying to get the mouse.She ties her head up with a hankerchief and the mouse tries to get a closer look. he comes closer and closer until she is able to catch him by the tail. once she catches him she teases him just as he did her. She tosses him like a ball but, when she opens the handkerchief he is gone. She forgot about the hole in the handkerchief.He gets out and runs away. When the story is finished Miss Moppet is fast asleep.

I enjoyed this story. It appears that the cat is rally chasing the mouse. However, in the end it appears that she is only dreaming. I like the illusions.

can read during storytime and have the children make up their own stories, read when talking about cats and mice, can have the children darw a picture of Miss Moppet chasing mouse. ( )
