Watch a bicycle race and try to guess who wins as the numbers are all mixed up ( ) This was a story about a bike race with each of the twelve riders having a number. "Number 9" has trouble with their bike when the race begins but thanks to her perseverance and never giving up, she is able to come from behind and win the race. The repetition of listing the numbers as "number 9" went from last to first through the book helped add suspense and showed that "Number 9" was getting closer and closer to first place. The illustrations, though simple, helped separate the different bikers and drew attention to "Number 9", who was the only part of the illustrations in the book drawn in red.
Once again, the author of ''Truck,'' ''Freight Train'' and ''School Bus'' has told an eye-filling story with the simplest of materials.
The numbered order of the twelve racers changes as the bicycle race progresses. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
