This was an okay story, a little dry. The illustrations were actually more interesting due to their realism. The narration could hardly hold my attention. It felt as if the author was assuming the reader already knew about the Apollo 11 landing and the people on board, but I most children likely don't. This would be more for children with special interests in this type of study.
Obviously this would be great for learning about NASA history or space studies. Children could write about what they imagine Neil Armstrong felt/experience when first stepped onto the moon. As a fun construction activity, students could group up and build their own rockets out of various materials.
