Claiming the Cowgirl (Jody Hedlund)- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Doctor’s Snowflake Bride (Lacy Williams)- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Marrying the Mountain Man’s Best Friend (Misty M Broker) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My only critique of all of them is that I wish they were full novels since there were very quick timelines. ( )

Three talented authors have joined together to share three special stories and the result is a delightful anthology. Each novella in Christmas Bells and Wedding Vows is different but they all feature a marriage of convenience, a Western setting, and the universal need for faith, trust, and love. I enjoyed all of them but I was especially drawn to Claiming the Cowgirl by Jody Hedlund. I was captivated by the four books in her recent Colorado Cowgirls series but I did have one regret. I felt that one of the characters in the fourth book needed to find someone who would love and appreciate him, and now, Weston Oakley gets that chance! I loved the special connection that develops between Weston, Sabrina Taylor, and her adorable two-year-old boy. Protecting her son from her former father-in-law becomes a challenge but is marriage the only way to stop him?

Hedlund gives readers a novella filled with swoon-worthy kisses, undeniable chemistry, and the sweet promise that a marriage of convenience might really work! Throw in the mention of Christmas and the results are pure reading enjoyment!

If you're a fan of Jody Hedlund, Lacy Williams, or Misty Beller, do yourself a favor and grab a copy of Christmas Bells and Wedding Vows. It's a perfect choice for anyone who enjoys historical Christian romance!

I purchased a copy of this novella collection. I am voluntarily sharing my thoughts. ( )

Claiming the Cowgirl by Jody Hedlund
Having greatly enjoyed the Colorado Cowgirls series by Jody Hedlund, I was thrilled to read more about Weston and was excited to see him get his happy ending at last! I love marriage of convenience stories, but especially the ones that this author pens, because she does such a fantastic job of writing swoony romance that is clean but builds satisfying tension and deepens relationships. The characters are fantastic, the setting is snowy and perfect for Christmas, and the story flows well and with great depth for a shorter storyline. Highly recommended!

Doctor’s Snowflake Bride by Lacy Williams
I don’t think I’ve read anything by this author before, but her ability to craft a lovely story in a novella has me determined to read more by her! I loved the characters in this novella so much. Jed is compassionate, selfless, and kind. Minnie is lovable and sweet. Their relationship was a joy to read and I felt satisfied with its romantic conclusion. A delightful novella!

Marrying the Mountain Man’s Best Friend by Misty M. Beller
An unlikely pairing, Two Stones and Heidi nonetheless quickly endeared me to them with their sweet and humble love. There is depth to their relationship as they both struggle with past demons and moving forward, and I enjoyed reading about how their marriage of convenience grew into real love. This novella flowed well and will be a perfect read for a snowy day!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the authors. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own. ( )

What a wonderful trilogy of sweet marriage of convenience stories set in the western frontier at Christmas time! These three short novellas, written by three consummate storytellers, each provide a complete and satisfying reading experience. I think fans of historical romance will love this collection as much as I do, and I highly recommend it.
CLAIMING THE COWGIRL: Set in 1878 in Coldplay, Colorado, this novella fits in perfectly with Ms. Hedlund’s awesome Colorado Cowgirl series. I love the way Serena and Weston’s story unfolds as they fight against past hurts and fears and learn to trust each other. This story combines adventure, romance, and faith in just the right doses to make an enjoyable, inspiring read. Note: You can totally enjoy this story without having read the other books in the series, but I highly recommend the series also!
DOCTOR’S SNOWFLAKE BRIDE: Set in Cooper’s Hollow, Wyoming, this touchingstory centers around heroine Minnie Hollister who just wants to be chosen and belong somewhere and hero Jed Dawson a dedicated doctor who is struggling in his relationship with his son Jamie. This emotionally charged read features a fast-moving plot with well-placed twists, lovable characters, and a gentle faith thread which combine to make a captivating read.
MARRYING THE MOUNTAIN MAN’S BEST FRIEND: This moving story set in the Montana Territory is a beautiful complement to the Brothers of Sapphire Ranch series. This short missive is packed with adventure and feelings. Wonderful characters, a cleverly crafted storyline, sweet romance, and an encouraging faith thread create an exciting, endearing read.
I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher with no obligation to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. ( )

Swoony to sweet, you'll love these novellas. Strong women and strong protective men, each just who the other needs. Every one a marriage of convenience that turns out to be the best they could have imagined, though not easy. You'll quickly develop special deep feelings for each of them. A quick but satisfying read. Perfect for your holiday break.

I received this book free from the author, publisher and CelebrateLit book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
