This is a fun read aloud and inspires young writers to practice creative writing. ( ) As a fan of anything cats or weird cat photos, I've seen this in the library while shelving and thought to myself, yes you need to read this book. I'm glad I did! It was definitely silly, cute and all together a great read! Loved the little quotes in the book that not everyone may get. Recommended for kids of all ages. Kat Kong was one of my favorite stories when I was younger because of the illustrations as well as the puns that were inserted into the story. The book uses a cat as a giant monster, almost like King Kong. The book takes place in a large city, somewhere I always wanted to live as a child. The book provides a humorous read as well as brings in some vocabulary words for children to learn. Even though this book is almost 14 years old, it still gets read by students all the time. Mice go to an island looking for a creature named Kat Kong. They open a can of tuna and lure Kat Kong. Kat Kong ends up knocking himself out and being brought back to the city of Mousopolis. Kat Kong is held captive by the mice. Kat kong ends up escaping captivity and goes on a crazy spree. Kat Kong ends up getting taken down Captain Limburger, a fighter mouse pilot. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
