This book is a type of adventure story. It begins with the hippo running a muck through the forest and nocking down all the trees. One of the birds sees this and passes the info onto the monkey, who tells the jaguar, on and on. Eventually they all run to the hippo to figure out what is wrong. They think he has a fever so they push him over the cliff and he bumps to the river far below. When he hits the bottom his sore tooth pops out but then he realizes he has a headache.

Genre: Fantasy- This book is a fantasy book because it is all about a jungle community and one of the animals having a tooth ache. All the animals spend their time trying to figure out what is wrong with hippo and talking to each other about it.

Uses: I would use this book to discuss a chain of events. I would also just use it to tell a funny story about a hippo with a tooth ache.

Mr. Hippo is haveing a horrible toothache! OH NO! He can't seem to figure out away to stop the pain. He is crashing into and breaking all the trees in forest.Cuckoo bird sees the mess and quickly goes to tell money what is going on. Of course he adds that Hippo is kicking the trees off the cliff. Monkey continues on by tell the leopard what is happening and adding a piece. So in the end NONE of the events took place and Hippo lost the tooth that was bothering him.
