This novella set in Victorian India is a prequel to Carry On about Roland’s parents. I was intrigued by Melusina and Arthur in Carry On, but I don’t have strong feelings about this, neither about the mystery nor the romance. Perhaps if this had been longer, fleshed out the story more? ( )
