I've enjoyed Worth's poems, I'm interested in reading about gypsies & Roma, and so I chose to try this. Then I saw that the dedication was to Natalie Babbitt, who has written many more wonderful stories beyond Tuck Everlasting. So I had high hopes for this.

They weren't quite met. It's a sweet story, but a little simplistic. Miranda is a bit of a Mary Sue" character. The language itself is lovely, though, as one would expect from a poet. During a period of loneliness, Miranda starts taking long walks: "And in the end, she found that solitude a better consolation than any company."

I'm glad I read it, but recommend it only to readers just as motivated as I was." ( )
