{My thoughts} – I enjoyed flipping through this board book. I especially like the bright colors and the bold print. I think that the words and the illustrations go together nicely. Hand and hand and they help to make it easy for a young child to see what each word means. I also like the different textures in which the pages are made. Each page has a different kind of texture to it that allows a young child to run their hands or fingers across to show the difference between page and illustration.

There are a number of animals mentioned within the pages of this book. Each animal is then labeled and the sound in which it makes is added. I believe this will help children to put together the animal name, what it looks like and the sound that it makes when they are introduced to this book.

I highly recommend this book for any child under the age of four. I think that they can learn a lot from it even though it covers a minimal amount of words. My only disappointment with the book is it didn’t have a giraffe in it. ( )
