Nancy's voice is clear, the end of her life not presented in depressing sadness, her love life not presented as miserable. Harold and her letters show an upbeat, hardworking, intelligent, humorous woman who was loved and led a full life. I really enjoyed how this biography was written, a very individual style about a very individual one. Nancy Mitford was famous and deservedly so. Very evocative biography. Have read so much about them I feel I know them as personal friends. I love this "biography" by Harold Acton who was a true friend to them throughout their lives. It is not truly a biography but more letters between them so very much in Nancy's own words by someone who loved her. Approved by and contributed to by Debo, Diana and Pam a lovely book. I borrowed it first but had to buy it sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
This is the biography of Nancy Mitford. Determined, attractive and amusing, the eldest and most famous of the Mitford sisters was a satirical novelist and controversial journalist who observed the pretensions of her time with a keen and ruthless eye.
