The message. The Artwork. The SelfLove.

From the moment I laid eyes on this book, I knew it was a book that I had to introduce my children too. Not only is the artwork so vivid and amazing , but the message is profound. Teaching our children to love what they see no matter how black they may be.

I would definitely recommend owning this gem. Definitely setting a high bar for all indie authors, and marking its place in history— at-least my history anyway. ( )

You So Black by Theresa Tha S.O.N.G.B.I.R.D. is food for the soul. It's a celebration of Blackness, it'd history and all its forms. It's a call to action but a call to stillness and adoration at the same time. This book is a love song of pride in Blackness. It's reminder that your Blackness is enough and always will be. This is a gem of a book and should be put in the hands of children so that it will bolster their self esteem and serve as reminder of who they are and who they're meant to be. The illustrations are gorgeous and will make you beam with joy. I am so filled with happiness that I got to participate on this tour and be a part of celebrating such a beautiful story.
