“NRSVue Holy Bible with Apocrypha” offers a contemporary translation that comes with several standout features.

I appreciate the physical features. The Leathersoft cover is soft and supple, providing a comfortable and durable feel. The lay-flat design is a practical choice for study sessions, and the personal size makes it easy to carry around. The easy-to-read font, gilded pages, attached ribbon markers, and presentation page are also a big plus. The inclusion of the Apocrypha is novel to me, so I can’t offer much insight on this aspect until further study.

One notable aspect of this translation is the language used, which differs from traditional versions I’m used to. (e.g., using modern language like “your” instead of older forms like “thy.”) For those seeking clarity and comprehension, this version shines. However, I prefer more the poetic language for my devotional and memorization time.

This version offers convenience, readability, portability, and comfort.
