Although I absolutely loved this installment, I think this is the first time reading the book form of Lore Olympus where I felt like reading the online comic was a better experience. I am a fast-passer so I am all caught up beyond the print volumes, and I purchased the volumes bc I prefer print to a computer screen . . . but I think the online panels are a better experience. It makes sense since the comic is optimized to be viewed within the WebToon's app/website. Anyway - if you have never read Lore Olympus online and enjoyed the first two books, I absolutely recommend Volume Three! And I'll be buying all the volumes I'm just noticing the flow has changed. CWs: Persephone experiences PTSD from her SA, she speaks about her feelings in regard to it. I think the design and pictures in this book is just stunning. This book also was just super compeling. I loved how the consequnces of book 1 and the assult that occured kept hacing consquences as the sereies went one. It was very quick read and i am just really fond of the characters and excited to to be caught up on this series!! I think the design and pictures in this book is just stunning. All of Olympus--and the Underworld--are talking about the God of the Dead and the sprightly daughter of Demeter. But despite the rumors of their romance, Hades and Persephone have plenty to navigate on their own. Since coming to Olympus, Persephone has struggled to be the perfect maiden goddess. Her attraction to Hades has only complicated the intense burden of the gods' expectations. And after Apollo's assault, Persephone fears she can no longer bury the intense feelings of hurt and love that she's worked so hard to hide. As Persephone contemplates her future, Hades struggles with his past, falling back into toxic habits in Minthe's easy embrace. With all the mounting pressure and expectations--of their family, friends, and enemies--both Hades and Persephone tell themselves to deny their deepest desires, but the pull between them is too tempting, too magnetic. It's fate. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

Covering episodes #50-75 of the webcomic finds Hades and Persephone combatting the gossip by different means, mainly by doing things that are toxic to themselves or hiding away from the truth as well as staying away from one another. However, when Hera selects Persephone as Olympus’ representative for an intern exchange program with the Underworld, things once again are complicated between the two protagonists. Yet Smythe begins branching out the story with subplots featuring Eros, Minthe, and planting the seeds for others as the series while slowly pulling away layers of the protagonists’ stories including a mysterious event in the past. The art’s quality is excellent and Smythe shaping of the story is engaging, dominated by character-driven narrative but with a mix of worldbuilding and humor.
Lore Olympus Volume Three by Rachel Smythe continues the quality storytelling that she had established earlier and that the story is about to expand in a natural way that makes the reader want to know what is going to happen next. ( )
