I absolutely LOVE this idea and immediately wanted to grab it because there are so many great authors in this with amazing reads that have food in the stories. I really hope that this continues with many volumes and more great recipes. This book has so much to try and the cover is gorgeous. I tried a few of the recipes that I will review and pictures to follow. I chose random recipes that I already had most ingredients on hand.
First I made the Bruschetta from Willow Winters: this was easy, delicious, and something I will make over and over.
Next I made Andi’s Cheese Grits by Susannah Nix: As a southern gal grits is a must have staple in the house and add cheese I’m sold. What I liked about this was the heat added by the cayenne pepper. I have never had my grits this way but it is now my favorite way to make them (ps I added chopped up bacon to my grits because well I’m extra like that, you don’t have to do this your choice but shrimp would be fantastic too).
Next I made Spicy Boneless Wings by Teagan Hunter: These were absolutely delicious and the fact that I could make them in the air fryer was a winner because it saved on time but never took away the flavor. A definite keeper and Zack (Let’s Get Textual) would definitely approve!!!
The last recipe I tried, but not the last one ever because like I said this cookbook is full of some amazing looking dishes/drinks, I made Mia Sheridan’s Iced Tea to wash down these great dishes. Again, as a southern gal we love our sweet tea and what I loved about this is the added mint. It gave it a different flavor that was delicious ( I also added extra lemon and strawberries you don’t have to but like I said before I did because I’m extra).
Overall this cookbook is full of great ideas and I really hope this continues to be a thing throughout the romance community. Seeing authors come together and create masterpieces with Anthologies is great, but this takes it to a next level of awesomeness and the cover is gorgeous!! (Attached pictures of my dishes) ( )
