The Best of the Midnight Dynasty World.

I was very curious how this author was going to bring Daphne Morelli's story to life and wondered if it would have the power that Leo's story had. It did, just in a way that I wasn't expecting. This story was tantalizing and crept up on me. Within the first few paragraphs, I was captivated by this author's depiction of mundane things and making them seem sensual and almost carnal. There is no doubt that this author can write. She is in the master's class.

The story starts slow, but not in a bad way, between Daphne and Emerson. There is a lot at play here. Hints are dropped by Emerson's family about him that has my interests piqued. There is also the whole dynamic of being a Morelli in the mix too that leads me to believe that there is a WHOLE lot yet to come to this story between these two characters.

I am not sure if Emerson is a good man or not. The author just seemed to give enough in the story that keeps us hooked. I look forward to discovering more about him in the future. I, also, want to dive a little deeper into the psyche of Daphne. There is a lot to unpack here and I am ready for it.

I worried at first that this was just a single book for these characters, especially, towards the end when there was still so much to happen. Once that whopper of a cliffhanger hit, I breathed a sigh of relief while simultaneously cursing because I need answers.

I love this author, I love this Midnight Dynasty world, and I love yet another amazing duet/trilogy?
