When summer nears its end in Antarctica, emperor penguins bound out of the water and gather together to begin a long march. They march to their nesting ground 100 miles away. When they arrive, each penguin chooses a mate and starts a family. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

I thought this story did an outstanding job of following the mating and birthing processes of the Emperor Penguins. I think that it may have been a little to mature for a younger audience, however for older children proves to be very informative and educational.
I would use this in my class as both a teaching tool for sciences and social studies. A study of the penguins habits and how life is continued in a different place in the world would help children understand the bigger world around them and of the differences in species and different parts of the world.
