( ) When I first saw this book, I was expecting an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, only in Manga form. In that sense, I was disappointed. Wonderland does happen of course, but it only takes up about nine pages or so. It rushes through everything so fast that you wonder if there is more to each story than was actually printed. After Miyuki gets into Wonderland, she escapes at the end, but there is usually some element of the story that will force here back into Wonderland at the end. There are eight stories crammed into 95 pages. All of them involve lesbians that want to do stuff to the titular Miyuki, who only wants to keep her...chastity I guess. As for the Alice in Wonderland part of the story it jumps from falling into Wonderland all the way to meeting the Cheshire Cat in the span of two pages or so. There is no mention of changing sizes and the Queen of Hearts is a Dominatrix. They show the March Hare, Mad Hatter and Dormouse, but they come and go in one panel. The next story has Miyuki going through the Looking Glass and meeting characters from that story, while the rest of the stories are all originals. Miyuki-chan in TV Land for instance has Miyuki getting sucked into a television. All in all, the art is pretty good, though considering it's by Clamp that might not be surprising. When I bought it, it cost $9.99 and I don't really think it was worth that much, though it does have some lovely colored artwork at the front and back that displays character models and things. It is also a very quick read. You can read the whole thing in under an hour, and it might not be very satisfying. In each one of the seven 'stories' (and I use that term loosely) in this book, the title character is dragged into a different world where all the inhabitants try to separate her from her clothes. She eventually gets away after taking clothing damage and wakes up to find it was all just a dream. There is then a final panel reveal, sometimes seen by Miyuki, to switch to the 'or was it?' cliche ending. Obviously, the stories are just excuses for nearly-naked girl art. However, even on that level the book fails, as the art isn't particularly attractive in the right way. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

HTML: There are many worlds in the universe outside of our own, connected by doors that are hidden to the eye. But if you chance upon those doors, you can be transported to a place where supple beauties reign supreme and all of your fantasies come alive. Should you pass through the doorways, be most careful, for the creatures you will meet can be as dangerous as they are beautiful. Many would die for a glimpse at those worlds - Miyuki would do anything to have them go away. Rated: T+ .No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
