I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Do They All Sleep is an adorable and entertaining way to show toddlers how different animals rest, from an octopus deep in the sea to a monkey dozing in a tree. The book uses many different ways to say sleep, ensuring it doesn't become a tedious read. And there's some interesting information about each animal. There are questions throughout to ask your toddlers, which makes them more involved in the storytelling.

There are a couple of typos throughout, as well as some strange wording. One specific example is when our readers ask a lion if they snuggle, and they reply, "Yes, all through the day, better than you." This comes across as unkind. The animation is beautiful and colorful, but sometimes the proportions aren't quite right, and it takes a moment to figure out what you're seeing.

While I think it's a good book, the issues listed above kept it from being a five-star read.

It's a cute story, and it manages to use new and creative ways to teach about sleep. The colorful art draws in the eye. My daughter has made me read it to her every day since I received it, and anything that keeps a toddler interested in a story for longer than a couple of minutes is amazing. ( )

Do They All Sleep? is a charming picture book about a little boy who asks his dad at bedtime why he should sleep. What follows is a back and forth between father and son that covers the sleep habits of several animals including those who sleep deep in the ocean to high in the air and everything in between.

I recommend Do They All Sleep? to pre-school aged and even early readers who love animals and are curious about why we do the things that we do. Its basic concept paired with its beautiful illustrations make it the perfect bedtime story to calm readers’ minds while simultaneously teaching them something new and encouraging them to mimic the sleeping animals in the book.

Do They All Sleep? was a lovely interactive children's picture book with engaging artwork and periodic opportunities for the adult reader to play on the book's themes with their child or children while reading / performing the book.

The story runs through the sleep habits of various animals, birds and marine life and compares & contrasts it with humans. The child can interact with the book to answer / play with the occasional questions asked.

The artwork was simple and lovely with eye-drawing neon-like colours. This is an excellent play and activity book for adults and children.
