"Last Call" by Lakisha Johnson
My Opinion:
'Last Call' was indeed a good story that was somewhat sad, but this is what can happen when one doesn't listen as it was for Blair and Lillie. It seems like both of these two people had once loved each other, but money became so crucial to Blair that he forgot how he had gotten to the place where they both had been happy. Lillie sought the Lord in all of this in trying to mend her broken heart. Blair didn't get serious about all of this until things didn't turn out the way he thought, and the begging and pleading with Lillie was a no-go. In our world that we live in, this situation happens, and in the end, it may not turn up the way one would like, as in this story. However, Blair put Lillie through a lot with all of his mess, but through prayer and her walk with the Lord, one knows it worked out quite well for her in the end. I loved how Lillie forgave him. I was indeed glad of Lillie's decision to stay strong because enough had been enough in this marriage. So, you should pick up the read and see how well this author brings it out so well to the reader. ( )
