Short novella that gives some background into Rhi, Con and Erith and how they all interacted in the begining. Ms. Grant also explains why the children were removed and how she tried to return them to Rhi but for some reason they didn't want to go. Since we are seeing how powerful they are before they are born and can decide that, it will be great to see how they are full grown. Don't expect no happy ending in this book. This is just a background book. But very insightful. ( ) As a new reader to this series and especially since I jumped right into the middle, this book was very insightful for me. It help me understand the perspectives of the characters and has made me curious to find out what the twins’ motivation was to not return and why they are angry with their parents. Advanced review copy provided for voluntary review consideration One event. 3 POV's And a whole bunch of questions get answered. New hope is planted. A love story for the ages is rekindled. If you haven't followed the series then this book might not mean as much to you. If you have....well for most of us it's the perfect way to find out why our hearts were broken.
