10s of thousands of witches and warlocks have managed to keep their powers secret in the world since time immemorial. A few bastards occur here and there but without training they struggle to develop any powers and lack control. One such is Addie grant who's unusually strong weather abilities bring her to the attention of the Wilcox clan in Flagstaff. Especially the handsome and recently windowed heir, Jake. Just as he's reaching out to Addie he discovers that it's not only the clans that have noticed something strange going on, but that the government has also had a program watching out for 'abnormal talents' to aid with Homeland Security. It's only been going for a few years which is unlikely. Jake and Addie fall for each other - I hate the love at first sight trope - have a somewhat farcical tug of war with the government, in the guise of the suspiciously lucky Agent Lenz.
Probably ok for paranormal romance fans, but not enough going for it in depth of character or plotting for anyone else. The odd switches of voice between the three characters didn't work for me either. ( )
